Bangkok Hospitals We Transfer Patients To From Dhaka

When a patient leaves Bangladesh for treatment in Thailand, the destination hospital matters as much as the flight. We regularly coordinate bed-to-bed air ambulance transfers from Dhaka to Bangkok’s leading international hospitals, working directly with the receiving medical team so admission, the ICU bed and the specialist are confirmed before the aircraft ever departs.

Quick Answer

We regularly coordinate bed-to-bed air ambulance transfers from Dhaka to Bumrungrad International, Bangkok Hospital, Samitivej and BNH — Bangkok’s major hospitals for international patients. For each case we coordinate directly with the receiving hospital’s medical team, confirming the bed and specialist so the patient is handed over bed-to-bed on arrival.

Receiving Hospitals

Leading Bangkok Hospitals for International Patients

Bumrungrad International Hospital

A JCI-accredited hospital known across Asia for complex cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology, oncology and cancer care, and neurology and neurosurgery. Bangladeshi patients are often referred here for high-acuity sub-specialty treatment and its well-developed international patient services, which make admission for a transferred patient straightforward.

Bangkok Hospital

A large multi-specialty tertiary centre with dedicated heart, cancer and neuroscience institutes and an established trauma and emergency capability. Many Bangladeshi families choose it for serious accidents and combined-specialty cases, where the patient may need surgical, critical-care and rehabilitation teams working together under one roof.

Samitivej Hospitals

Trusted for general medicine and surgery with a particularly strong reputation in paediatric care, making it a common choice when a child or younger patient is being transferred. Its international coordination team is experienced in receiving overseas patients and arranging a smooth admission for families travelling from Bangladesh.

BNH Hospital

A well-established international hospital in central Bangkok offering general and specialist care with a clear admission pathway for transferred patients. It is a practical option for cases that need attentive personal care and a hospital experienced in coordinating with overseas medical teams.

We do not hold any official affiliation or partnership with these hospitals — our role is to coordinate the air ambulance leg and the clinical handover. If you already know which hospital you prefer, tell us and we will plan the transfer to it; if you are unsure, we can help you understand the options based on the patient’s condition. Which Bangkok Hospital Is Right for Your Patient?

Each of these hospitals has particular strengths that matter for Bangladeshi patients being transferred from Dhaka. The right choice depends on the patient’s specific medical condition.

Bumrungrad International — Best for complex cardiac and cancer cases

Bumrungrad handles the highest number of Bangladeshi patients and has a dedicated international admissions office. It is the strongest choice for interventional cardiology, complex cardiac surgery, oncology (including bone marrow transplant), and neurology. Its Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation means the hospital meets global standards for patient safety and clinical governance — an important consideration when admitting a patient who has already been stabilised in Dhaka and needs continued high-acuity care.

Bangkok Hospital — Best for multi-specialty and trauma cases

Bangkok Hospital’s integrated institutes for heart, cancer and neuroscience mean that a patient with multiple problems — for example, a stroke patient who also needs cardiac evaluation and rehabilitation — can be managed under one roof. It is also the strongest choice for serious trauma, orthopaedic and spinal cases, with a well-equipped emergency department and operating theatre capacity for urgent procedures.

Samitivej — Best for paediatric and general care

Samitivej Siriraj has Bangkok’s most respected paediatric and neonatal intensive care units, making it the natural choice when transferring a child or infant from Dhaka. It also offers strong general medical and surgical services in a less crowded setting, which families often find more manageable when coordinating treatment from overseas.

BNH — Best for personal care and straightforward admissions

BNH is smaller than the other three but offers attentive personal care and a clear, uncomplicated admission pathway for international patients. It works well for patients who need specialist physician care, diagnostic workup, or planned surgery rather than emergency high-acuity intervention. Its central Bangkok location also makes it convenient for family accommodation.

If you already know which hospital you need, we coordinate directly with their international admissions team. If you are unsure, we can help you evaluate based on the patient’s diagnosis and clinical requirements. Coordination

How Hospital Coordination & Bed-to-Bed Handover Works

Before the aircraft departs Dhaka, we contact the receiving hospital in Bangkok and confirm that they can take the patient. This means checking bed or ICU availability, confirming the relevant specialist or department is ready, and aligning the planned arrival time with the hospital’s admission process. A transfer is only finalised once the destination has confirmed it can receive the patient — we never fly a critical patient toward an unconfirmed bed.

We then share the clinical handover with the receiving medical team: the patient’s diagnosis, current status, medications, ventilator and oxygen requirements, and recent investigations. This lets the Bangkok specialists prepare before arrival and continue care without gaps. Our medical escort carries the documentation and equipment needed to keep the same standard of monitoring in the air as on the ground.

On the Thailand side, we arrange the ground ambulance from Suvarnabhumi Airport to the hospital, synchronised with the flight so there is no waiting on the apron. The patient moves directly from the aircraft to an equipped ground ambulance and on to the confirmed hospital bed, completing a true bed-to-bed handover. Why It Matters

Why the Receiving Hospital Matters

Choosing the right destination hospital is part of a safe transfer, not an afterthought. A patient who needs interventional cardiology, neurosurgery or specialist oncology should arrive somewhere equipped to continue that exact care the moment the doors open — otherwise the journey simply adds risk and delay. Matching the patient’s condition to a hospital with the right sub-specialty, the right level of critical care and an admission team ready to receive them is what turns a long flight into a genuine continuation of treatment.

Because we coordinate the transfer directly with the receiving team, the hospital is expecting the patient, the bed is held, and the handover is clinical rather than administrative.
